To me a piece of furniture is like a book. It's my story of how I interpret the way my life and emotions are unveiling at that precise moment. It is an art form that grounds me to the things that I hold close to my heart.

I feel that most of these gifts came from my parents. They gave me the ability to solve complicated tasks by breaking them down into small manageable goals. I took their nurturing and guidance to a higher level when  I  attended a technical high school and from that education developed into the cabinet maker I am today. A lot of my ideas on what I want to make come from museums, books, or from blue prints. I like to use blue prints by Charlie Lynch he goes into historical museums and copies period furniture in detail. I think he makes wonderful prints of period furniture like the corner cabinets you see below. I hope you find something you might enjoy. This is a fireplace hutch from the 1800's.

I made two of these in red oak.

I really enjoy making these out of oak or poplar.

One of two matching his/her cabinets of poplar.

This is the second cabinet of the pair, I made both of them the same winter.

Cabinets I made for my classroom.

Two his/her oak corner cabinets. Blue print by Charlie Lynch.

Oak corner cabinet with lead glass. Blue print by Charlie Lynch.

Wood and glass window.

Shaker bath room vanity.

Artist computer cabinet with glass.

I started using a spray gun to finish my furniture last year. This was the first cabinet I painted. I enjoy this shade of green.
